Conclusion
Congratulations, you made it!
After carefully drafting the question to best fit my goals with this project, I strongly believed I would reach a definite answer following a thorough analysis of the sources used. Unfortunately, I could not reach a definite answer for the inquiry made in the introductory paragraphs of this paper, “how can the inability to speak the language spoken by the family set one apart from one’s own culture?” as I do not believe that the conclusion I reached includes every possible solution for the issue. However, I believe to be able to provide one solution to the proposed question. Based on Andrew Robb’s speech, one can strongly suggest that his opinion on the matter and on how to approach it can be used in the issue presented on the question. Andrew Robb’s suggestion was to integrate the immigrants with the Australian culture as to not have it lost. This can be applied to families that have younger members not being able to speak the family language, and if Andrew Robb’s idea is incorporated, this can be solved by the family integrating in the children’s lives, from a young age, as suggested by Rajendra Singh (Singh), their own culture and teaching them the family language simultaneously with the language of the country they are located, as to not make them feel alienated from their own culture. Researching this topic matters because it will allow experts to have a better understanding of the positive and negative aspects of the separation of younger family members from their own culture due to the inability to speak the family language, and hopefully achieve simple solutions for this issue. Further research needs to be done in this field for a definite answer to the question, and I strongly suggest interviewing several people that fall under these conditions to identify the methods chosen by them to cope with the problem and attempt to find a general method that would work for most.
